Whistler
Blackcomb takes
great strives to accommodate any disabled individual that will visit
the mountains.
Whistler
Mountain is accessible to everyone
via the Village Gondola. Located just next to the Westin Hotel and
across from the Pan Pacific Hotel. Whistler Mountain is the only
Gondola to the top of the mountain for wheel chair and the mobility
restricted guest using Walkers or Aids.
No scooters are allowed in the Gondola as they cannot fit. A Wheel
Chair is located at the top of the Mountain on a first come and
first serve basis.
The
Whistler Village Gondola is the only accessible Lift for Wheel Chair
Access.
Guide dogs are permitted to access the Whistler Village Gondola
and to accompany a disabled person in our restaurants.
The
New Peak to Peak Gondola.
Opening
date set for December 2008.
Whistler
Blackcomb Mountains (WB) Peak to Peak Gondola will be wheelchair
accessible. It is an important feature of Whistler Blackcombs
landmark project and Canada s newest tourism icon, the Peak
to Peak Gondola. Each Sky Cabin will be equipped with a spot for
one wheelchair (except for the glass bottom cabin).
