Resort
Cabs Whistler now offers Airport Shuttle Service
for the Mobility Restricted and Disabled. The Accessible Vans can
fit up to six people with room for one wheel chair. For Whistler

Greyhound
Canada provides the only transportation option for
Wheel Chair accessible buses for Vancouver to Whistler. Each bus
has access for 2 mobility restricted individuals. 48 hour reservations
are required to request a wheel chair accessible bus. For more information
please call 1-800-661-8747. Hearing
Impaired TTY at: 1-800-397-7870. Be sure to get a
Disability Travel Card for them which allows you to bring a buddy
with you for free.

The
New Peak to Peak Gondola.
Opening
date set for December 2008.
Whistler
Blackcomb Mountains (WB) Peak to Peak Gondola will be wheelchair
accessible. It is an important feature of Whistler Blackcombs
landmark project and Canada s newest tourism icon, the Peak
to Peak Gondola. Each Sky Cabin will be equipped with a spot for
one wheelchair (except for the glass bottom cabin).

The
Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) has
been busy addressing accessibility and infrastructure for the Resort.
New signs for accessible routes in the village have just
been added - look for them on your next visit.

Taxi
Saver Program has been created for people with disabilities
to help you get around on your own.
For
Disabled Parking Access, please bring your permit issued from your
place of residence. The RMOW honors out of province and out of country
disabled parking passes. Disabled BC residents can get parking passes
from SPARC

Village I-Host program helps you find your way around and
is staffed
with 3 full time and 73 volunteers. As resort ambassadors, Village

Whistler's
New
Public Library opened its doors on January 26th, 2008.
The
new library provides a comfortable, accessible base for locals
and visitors. Disabled parking is located underground with Elevator
access to the Main Library building. An accessible computer workstation
and washrooms are available and the Library has just purchased a TTY
