Sit Skier Find all the Tour Adventures and Recreation Programs available in Whistler for the Disabled listed right here and broken down into specific categories for quick reference.

We start off with the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program (WASP) who specialize in providing recreation programs for the disabled.

Whistler Adaptive Sports Program provides the opportunity for hundreds of people with a wide range of disabilities to take part in sports and recreation programs along side any other Canadian, with a sense of adventure and the feeling of well-being that comes from immersing oneself in Whistler's world class recreational opportunities.

Whistler BungeeWe follow up with the Tour Adventures available in Whistler for those wanting a real rush. This is a great guide to adventures if you are with others who do not have a disability and would like to take part in a group.

You would be surprised to find out, that you can take part in most of the "Thrill Seeking Adventures" offered in Whistler just like everyone else.

Whistler Bungee for example, has the ability to handle even a wheel chair on a jump for the mobility restricted. You can see all your options listed below so take part in all that Whistler has to offer and try something you thought you would never do!

The Pique to Pique Gondola makes for a great Adventure and if your daring enough try the Glass Bottom Cabin which is a Silver Colour.

Whistler BungeeSNO-LIMO: Please Note that Sno-Limo is not in operation this season. Provides safe and secure tours of both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains via a sit sled ski. We are very proud that our Sno-Limo service is fully accessible and integrated! In fact last season we had many people with varying levels of disabilities join us. And all had a terrific time.

We have very few limitations, as long a person can sit down we can provide a tour. For those with limited upper body strength or needing additional assistance to remain seated we can provide a 4 point harness to ensure a comfortable seating position. There is no lower body strength required. Please visit the above link for more information.

Whistler BungeeTHE CORE: (opening soon) All our activities are extremely versatile without many limitations, with the exception of climbing for paraplegics and quadriplegics. Some of the versatility of these activities also requires the guidance and coaching of our supervisors and instructors.

The Core is the ultimate four season climbing and fitness facility. It combines the promotion of health and exercise-related activities designed to facilitate positive lifestyles, for both families and individuals to enjoy. These activities will include a climbing gym, kid’s adventure zone with a maze of tunnels, ladders, slides, and other obstacles creating the perfect indoor playground, weight/cardio area, multi-purpose fitness area, lounging/viewing area and base camp for a variety of outdoor activities. Please visit the above link for more information.

ZIP TREK & TREE TREK: Ziptrek and TreeTrek Ecotours take place high in the treetops between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.

With a maximum of 8 people on a tour during the Winter, our guides must divide their attention between all guests to ensure the safety of everyone.

If a disabled person requires the assistance of another to walk, climb stairs, or understand the curriculum being given, then they will need to have a person or people with them to accomplish that.

The biggest difficulty we have accommodating a disabled person is if they are in a wheel chair. Our terrain is varied and there are quite a few stairs to climb. It is almost impossible in the Winter time.

Please visit us at the above link for more information.

WHISTLER BUNGEE

We have had quite a few disabled people come out and have the time of there life. Bungee Jumping is a great activity for disabled as there is no skill required, as long as we can get them into a harness then they can jump or we can push them.

We have full wheelchair access to the bridge and over the bridge! We jump year round.

Whistler BungeeWHISTLER HELI SKI

We have taken out many Hard of Hearing and Deaf groups in the past for Heli Skiing Adventures and they loved it.

In terms of someone who is Mobility Restricted it would depend on the type and size of the Sit Ski you would be using. The sit ski would have to be able to fit in the outside box of the helicopter and an Assistant would be required to accompany you.

For Visually Impaired it would depend on the severity of the vision so you would have to contact us. It is possible to take you along once we know that information. But would need to know before hand for safety issues.

Visually impaired and Mobility Restricted
would need an assistant as our guides have to watch over the group and cannot provide for an individual disabled persons needs.

Please contact us for further information.

Whistler BungeeCanadian Snowmobile Adventures

Are Snowcat tours are both suitable for the hard of hearing and mobility restricted guests.

Snowcat Tours would require that a guest (who is mobility restricted) be able to make there own way to the Whistler Mountain base area, which is only approximately 5 minutes away, then we could assist them into our snowcat for the tour.

Snowmobile Tours
would require the Deaf or Hard of Hearing person be able to communicate with the Lead Driver on his Snowmobile or they could go as a passenger with limitations.

Please visit the above link for more information.
