A good rule to remember is that the closer you are to the village and The Whistler Gondola the "Easier" it will be to get around on your own. Try to find a hotel / condo that is either in the village or walking / rolling distance away. Whistler Public Transit has just become almost Fully Accessible so you are safe to book in areas outside the Whistler Village area if you would like. You can read our Accessibility Guide for "Accommodations" below and look under each Property to find out if it is Accessible to you or not and any Barriers in place specific to your own needs and Disability or that of a Family Members. Since "Not All" Accommodations properties have "Full Roll in Showers" in every room you have the option to use the Health Club and Pool Facilities who have Full Roll in Showers availability in those areas we have mentioned the ones who do below.
Currently,
there are no ASL Interpreters in Whistler at any of the
hotels. However, you should be able to get along fine just ask
the staff to write things down. If you are in a situation that you
desperately need an ASL Interpreter please get the hotel to contact

Depending
on your Disability and Mobility Whistler is generally a friendly
environment but you have to be careful of the location where
you will decide to stay. Some hotels and condo's may be up a
hill. If you "Lack Mobility" or use a "Wheelchair"
you should try and stay close to the Village area unless you
have your own Transportation or are willing to use Public Transit
while in Whistler.
