For
the 2010 Winter Paralympics Athletes will compete in the following
Winter Sports?

Athletes
will compete in five disciplines - Alpine Skiing, Ice Sledge Hockey,
Biathlon, Cross-Country Skiing and Wheelchair Curling. The events
emphasize the participants athletic achievements rather than their
disability. Read the History

The
Paralympic Sledge Hockey will take place at the UBC
Thunderbird Arena on the UBC University Campus
in Vancouver, BC. With a capacity of 6800 it will also be used
during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
Wheelchair
Curling takes place at the Newly Build 2010
Vancouver Olympic Centre. With a Capacity to fit
5600 spectators into the stands it should lead to some great action
in the Rinks.
The
Para-Alpine Events takes place at the Whistler
Creekside in Whistler, BC. The Whistler Blackcomb
ski hill will remain open during the 2010 Winter Games. Even with
Free
Spectators Locations along the Alpine Courses to
view the Olympic Races. Has
a capacity crowd of 7700 Spectators in the Creekside of Whistler,
located just about 4 kilometers from the Whistler Village.
The
Para-Alpine and Para-Nordic Skiing Events.
Race
events take place on Whistler Mountain for the 2010
Para-Alpine Downhill events.
At
the Whistler Olympic Park located about 20 minutes South
of Whistler, BC expect to see all the 2010
Para-Nordic Events.
